Up for your Consideration is a Important Vintage 1950's Mid Century Original "Evans Case Co." Ladies Gilt Filigree, Enameled & Jeweled Powder Compact with Mirror!
1930's-50's
This Simply Breathtaking Original "Evans Case Co." Vintage Art Nouveau Style Compact is Extremely Rare and will be a "Talk Piece" every time you take it out!
Fresh out of a New Bedford , Massachusetts Estate and the first time offered for sale!
The Estate Pieces measures 3.0 inches round by .80 inches wide. The Front is Incredibly Detailed in Faux Ruby and Sapphire Faceted Glass Stones and Pearls custom set onto this Raised Gilt Filigree frame with hand White and Royal Blue Enameling. It actually looks like a Piece you would find out of the French 19th Century Bedroom.
The condition is very wonderful for it's age and rarity! There is no powder puff as we removed it for sanity purposes . The mirror is intact and Not damaged, broken or cracked and the Powder Compartment is Clean and Free of Product. Besides some general Soiling and some light scratches this Original Evans Jeweled Powder Compact is cosmetically Beautiful Condition!
Here is the only Issue: The Compact is not Locking and needs to have the front push mechanism Replaced. We have looked into it and it can be done quite Inexpensively with another mechanism that has the same diameter and luckily most Evans Case Company Compacts and their locks are quite common and cheap considering you will have to destroy that replacement unit to fix this Extremely Rare one! Trust me it's not Such a Major Project for a Trained Jeweler if they have the part in hand!
