Rare 1952 - Framed - Marvel Maps - The Americana Treasure Map - John D. Lawrence

This is a rare 1952 John D. Lawrence “The Americana Treasure Map” by Marvel Maps in Los Angeles California.  There is a legend for Lost Mines and a legend of Sunken and Buried Treasure.  We were told this is an original that was framed in the mid 1950s.  There is the original price (.95) on the back of the frame along with measurements.  It looks to be on a type of rice paper and has a board backing, there is no glass.  I can only guess that it was glued down to the board but it’s hard to tell.  It is in good condition but does have one upper corner coming loose (see close-ups).  There is staining on the back that does not affect the map.  There is also some scuffing and scratches on the frame.  The map itself measures 23” by 16” and the frame overall measures 28 ¼” by 20 ½” and is being sold in “As Found” condition.   Please email with questions.  Good Luck!!
