    Description

    In April 1918 the Royal Flying Corps became the Royal Air Force.  This badge is oval shaped - 1 inch across by 1 5/16 inches tall in size.   Die struck in bronze, and maker marked on the reverse side "J.R. GAUNT. LONDON".  There is a crescent shaped "foot" on the reverse side for attachment to a civilian suit coat lapel button hole.
